I have a 1998 BMW 318is it runs very well but the temperature goes away when I drive and stays at normal when ticking over any help would be great full thanks

The gauge goes to cold and the blower blows a lot cooler not completely cold and also when this happens there is a bit of blue smoke but is not losing any water

It sounds like the cooling system is at risk here. The way the description reads to me is that the thermostat might be stuck open and if so it will require replacement.
