how can i locate the relay for the alarm system

when i got the car it had been stood for over a year, the battery was shot so i replaced it, but since doing this when i put the key in the ignition the hazzard lights flash intermitently, i have been told this is not the hazzards but the alarm, so any help would be greatly apprecited

It could be the alarm. Or it could be the hazard flasher unit. The alarm shouldn't have a relay, for the control module. It will have a fuse. At least one. That may be in the main fuse panel, or if the alarm is aftermarket, inline. Many alarm modules also have a fuse in the control module. My reference guide doesn't list Alfa Romeos.
