engine oil does not register on dipstick when engine is cold for 1998 acura slx

If there's no oil on the dipstick best put some on-start with a Qt and keep checking the level to it gets to the full mark-Don't even attempt to start it

Like RAZ said do not start, put oil in to full, then find where oil is going, check for leaks first.

If you run without oil you will burn engine up very quickly.
