1998 Acura CL starting

Starts OK sometime. Other times it take between 2 and 10 or more tries. Slowly getting worse. It clicks once (fairly audible metalic sound). Had starter worked on last year. Please offer best advice.

If it clicks everytime but does not crank, the problem should be with the starter or its connections. If it sometimes does not even click, it could be the ignition switch that is faulty.
