Ive had this car for 2months and had problems with ever since i got it.. One is, It bucks at certain speeds, ive had one of the mounted replaced but it didnt work. But the main thing is the car sometimes slips goin into gear and my headlights and dash lights go dim. I thought it was the alternater so i tested it, sometimes it would be fine others it wouldnt, so i got a new battery, seemed to be ok for a couple of days then it started again. My dad messed with the wires for the alternater which made the lights and everything go dim.He tugged on the cords a litlle bit and they popped right of so we changed the end.We drove it today and it seemed to be ok but didnt have anything, radio, lights, heat, etc. Im just wondering if the alternater wires being loose could cause the car to do this.

The alternator wires being loose would cause the dimming but not the components mentioned not working.

Check all the fuses, one or more could have blown causing the problem.
