REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT TENSIONER
Removal & Installation
NOTE:Later versions have a 3/4-inch mounting.

Using a 3/8-inch jointed socket wrench, remove load from belt tensioner. Remove drive belt.
To replace belt tensioner, slacken two belt tensioner screws and remove the belt tensioner. Install new tensioner. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT
NOTE:Later version have a 3/4-inch mounting.

Removal & Installation
Using a 3/8-inch jointed socket wrench, remove load from belt tensioner. Remove drive belt.
Install new serpentine belt. See Fig. 1 or Fig. 2 . Install in this order:
Crankshaft
A/C compressor
Idler pulley
Generator
Power steering pump
Turn up belt tensioner and apply belt.
Test function
