drivers air bag removal

hi how do i remove my divers airbag from my 1997 b5 passat so i can remove my steering wheel?

remove the battery cable and let it sit for 5 minutes.

the air bag is secured by bolts behind the steering wheel. be very careful not to break any connectors.

Removal is not the proble. Installation would. Improper installation would damage the cable reel.
