sun roof won't close all the way

my sun roof wont shut its for a 97 vw jetta it comes within two to three inches of being shut and wont and i have tried the manual shut and that wont work. It almost gets like jammed shut

Check to see if you have anything stuck in the tracks, or if the tracks are broken/bent.

If the tracks are perfect, then you will have to go into testing the motor.
