My steering makes squeaking noise.

I changed my power steering belt 'cos the old one had worn out(expired may be), since then whenever I turn the steering fully I hear this squeaky noise and at times the steering wheel hops****** as I try to turn fully.

did you buy a good belt and not contaminate it with anything like oil when installed? is tensioner providing good tension to belt? the skipping means pump is slipping on belt(pulley stops momentarily)
