Where do I place 4 jack stands under a 1997 RAV4.

Where do I place 4 jack stands under a 1997 rav4?
i've been looking to buy the appropriate jack stands for my rav4.
1) do I buy aluminum stands or steel stands?
2) do I get the stands with the V-shaped tops or the stands with a flat tops?
i'm inclined on getting the V-shaped stands because I thought the groove in the V shape would make the truck more secure when lifted.
also minimum and maximum lifting heights help.
