why is car reving up in park

just changed battery, car has started to rev up between 2 and 3 rpms in park as well as when radio and/or heater is turned on. any suggestions

-Check the alternator voltage output if its within specs and also the IACV, TPS and MAF sensors to include vacuum leak and fuel pressure check
