So one day I noticed my car was leaking coolant but only right after I would drive it. By the time I had the chance to further inspect it the next day there was absolutely no coolant left. I was able to refill it and it doesn't really leak anymore but my car heats up really fast just by driving the 2 miles it takes to get to work there is steam coming up from the hood only a little but still steam and a weird noise until it cools off again. When it was leaking it seemed to be from the general area of the radiator but if it not leaking anymore why could it possibly be overheating so fast?

it would stop because the coolant is gone, have a pro pressure check the system for leaks could be a thermostat or a head gasket
