1997 Toyota Corolla Dx Model Good Shape C Works Great Heater Does Fine Well

My 1997 Corolla is DX Model and is in good shape. The A/C works great and the heater does fine as well. The problem is that when I place the switch to defrost/floor combo or just defrost the air comes out the vents and not in the proper place. When the switch is for floor it works fine. Please help.

door acuator or motor for the defrost control under dash. have it checked to see if it has failed
