sounds like interlock solenoid is not working. could be bad or some other reason. hard to estimate until actual problem is found.

and do your brake lights work? if not the pedal switch is likely problem for both.

if brake lights dont work check fuse first then suspect switch.

i think the same thing happened to me also with posting it was like dejavu? told myself it didnt happen.
