I need to know why and how much to fix I still drive it

MY 1979 TOYOTA COROLLA WILL ONLY COME OUT OF PARK IF I USE THE PARK OVERRIDE BUTTON! THE CAR STILL WORKS FINE. WHATS WRONG WITH IT

Sounds like interlock solenoid is not working. Could be bad or some other reason. Hard to estimate until actual problem is found.

And do your brake lights work? If not the pedal switch is likely problem for both.

If brake lights dont work check fuse first then suspect switch.

FIXITMR THIS THING TRIPS ME OUT!

I ANSWERED THIS 19 MINUTES AGO, AND AS I ALWAYS DO, I INSURE IT DID POST---AND IT DID!

NOW I'M NOT SHOWIN' UP?

OVERRIDE LOOKS AS THOUGH IT ACTIVATES THE SHIFT SOLENOID BUT BYPASSES THE BRAKE PEDAL

ARE YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS WORKING?
