I was notified by the dealer"s mechanic after my car"s last check up and oil change that I have no back up lights. The 1156 bulbs are good and the 15A fuse is good. What should I check next? I hope I can fix this myself.

See if there is power to the reverse light switch on the side of the transmission. See if there is power to the switch, and then, when shifted into reverse, check for power out. Chances are the switch is bad. I attached a picture of the item you are looking for.

Let me know what you find.
