Could this be from too much gas or oil in the car?

today the car became sluggish going uphill it then began to shudder in between shifts (it's an automatic).

Too much gas in the car?How would you figure that one?Have you checked the oil level?Usually when the oil is over filled in those cars they smoke real bad out the exhaust pipe.Also have you checked for codes in the computer?
