coolant dissaperaing

1997 saturn sc2 with 175,000 miles. coolant resevior low and light comes on dash. Refill resevior and goes out and drive for a while and comes back on and check resevior, its ow again. Search entire engine and radiator for leak, nothing. Check oil for possible water contamination and nothing, check transmission fluid also and nothing????

My take on it is to make sure you don't have a external leak the most common place's that leak on those car's is the water pump and the radiator tank right below the upper hose where the top transmission cooler line screw's in.Sometimes unless you look hard it's hard to find the radiator tank leaking.The best way to find a leak is to get a cooling system pressure tester and pressurize the cooling system and look for leak's.Or add coolant leak dye and find the leak that way.Also if you suspect a head gasket issue auto zone rent's block tester's for free you just have to buy the testing fluid for it.
