Why would hitting the brakes cause drivers side turn signals to flash rapidly?

when the left turnsignal is on it flashes norma speed but when the brake ispressed it flashes rapidly. when the turnsignal flashes rapidly the tail lamp and turn signal lights flash intermittently back and forth. this only happens on the drivers side and not the passenger side.

Have the turn and hazard switch checked/tested
