i have a 1997 pontiac grand prix gt. i have remote start and an amp and sub in the trunk. the vehicle was running after being started with the remote start, the passenger side door was opened and the power line for the amp was pinched in the door hinge. car died. what needs to be replaced.

I would check all the fuse's you probably blew one from pinching the hot wire for the amp.There's where i would start probably the fuse that power's the amp circuit you tapped into.
