my car stops all of a sudden, push gas pedal nothing happens, try to start it later, it starts. today drove it in 41 degree weather, worked fine, until i went to drive car was on, lights worked, but i could push gas pedal all the way to the floor nothing happened, had call tow truck driver. my dad needs to know where fuel pump. hose is located, as we r on a low income,

the pump is in the tank. when you turn on ignition so idiot lights come on you should be able to hear pump whine for a few seconds. what motor is it?

if no sound from pump,check your fuel pump relay.
