1997 Plymouth Neon Yes Which Hesitates Getting Into Drive Reverse Work

Yes, I have a 1997 Plymouth Neon with AT which hesitates getting into drive and reverse. I have to work the selector back and forth when first driving off in the morning. Eventually, the front wheels will grab and I can back on out of my driveway. Also, at a stoplight &/or stoplight, the car will not want to take off and I will have to rev the car to get it to take off. What seems to be the problem? Ps. I have already changed the trans fluid and filter.

Is the fluid level correct? Was the work done properly?
