engine coolsnt leak and it has a collection on top of engine on the out side

you could mention what exact engine you have. it's usually on a sticker under hood or on vavle cover.

so where exactly is it collecting at? car is not running hot is it?

it is coleting right beside the oil fill and the rest drips onto the ground

it could be the water pump? which is inside the timing cover next to the oil cap on left. or maybe the radiator cap which is also nearby? i'm leaning to water pump though. also could be a freaky hose leak that squirts to that area?

is there a easy way of telling where it is coming from? could it bee the plastic tube with the o ring in it that is causing the leak?

what? where? you have to be more specific or just take some pics and upload. you could clean off area and with hood open run engine until you spot it?

so yours is plastic? try shaving it flat again. i even have to do it with metal 1's! i use sandpaper on a flat surface. i've even used a chop saw by holding against flat side of grinding wheel/blade. macgyver style.
