How do you change front wheel stud

There a steel plate in back and I cant seem to get it out do I need to take the brake roter out or remove the wheel hub can you tell me.

The stud has to be pressed out-

On older stuff I just remove rotor and then rotate stud to area for knocking it out with hammer.

Probably same with yours. To install use lug nut with spacer to draw new 1 into place.
