whenever i go over a bumpy road or hit a bump my car on the left hand side makes a sound in the tire like it is vibrating, you can actually hear it. i took it to the shop and they said my car was just old, i am concerned still, what could it be?

Don't take it to that shop anymore, they're idiots. Of course a car gets old, and the parts begin to fail. A good technician is supposed to find out which parts are failing and replace them. then your part isn't old anymore!!!!!

There are many possible causes for your issue, and I can't tell you without more detail. But if you don't want to do the work yourself, take it to another shop. But ask around first and find a shop with a good reputation.
