I have a 1997 nissan pathfinder put a new air cleaner on and thought I would clean the intake and I removed throttle position sensor. Cleaned it put it back on know I have a po120 code and it runs bad. Is there a right way to install it. I noticed you can ajust it in the screw slots.

Yes, there is an adjustment.
Turn the ignition off. Ensure the tp sensor wiring harness connector is securly connected. Using voltmeter, backprobe tp sensor harness connector terminals #2 and #3. Adjust tp sensor by loosening mounting bolts and rotating sensor body until output voltage is within spces.

.30--.70 volt, voltage is measured with throttle fully released. With throttle fully depressed, voltage should be about 4 volts.

If you're talking about the TPS -on closed throttle or WOT? If you tried both and still don't wanna co-operate put the sensor in file 13 meaning the trash can
