clickling nois on start

i have a nissan pick up 2wheel drive year 1997...when i turn it on it starts makeing a clicking noise..how can i fix it how can i find out whats makeing the noise?please help me with my problem..THANKYOU..

Is it making the noise during cranking over the engine when key at cranking position not on run-

well its makeing the clicking sound when its on....even when i gas it the sound is still there...
