My car engine keeps cutting off and I suspect it must be the mass air flow sensor. My car is a Nissan Cefiro A32 (1997). Kindly advice. Thank you.

When does the cutting out occur?
Did you try to retrieve for trouble codes?
When starting engine from cold, is the idling speed constant?

The cutting out occurs while I drive. The idling speed is also inconsistent. I just managed to replace the MAF sensor on my own and will be trying again to see if this problem persist. Thank you.

If engine stalls when coming to a stop or stopped, the problem is more likely to be due to a dirty Auxiliary Air Control Valve. Getting it cleaned and readjusting the idling speed should work.
