Sensor problem

Hi I was wondering I have a bad knock sensor again in my maxima I just replaced it about a year in a half ago so I was wondering can you clean the sensor b 4 I buy another one & if I can't what should I do 2 make sure the sensor doesn't go bad so quickly again???? Please help thanks...Amy :)

The only thing you can do is just buy better quality parts. Nissans are prone to this problem.

Oh ok that really stinks!!! So there is nothing I can do b 4 I put the new sensor in that might help???
