One code p 0300 and i just got a tune up check engine light was gone for about a week and then came back had it check and that's the code that came up

these items need to be checked as they may be arcing causing the missfires

Having the same problem with 1997 Montero SR new plugs and wires swapped the ICM with known good one swapped coils with known good ones. no change.

This problem occurs when the fuel pump is weak or the MAP/MAF sensor is off. have you run the codes yet? Here is a guide to get us started and the location of the MAF and MAP sensors in the diagrams below so you can see what's going on:

I would try cleaning the MAF sensor to see what happens.
