1997 Mercury Sable Car Idles Good Park Neutral You Put Drive Rpms Start Climb

Car Idles good in park And neutral. If you put it in drive the rpms start to climb. You put it back in neutral or park and it goes back to about 850 rpms. Base Idle is between 350 and 400. Checked the resistance of the IAC it was 10.1. your advice thanks

what is the voltage when in drive???

I had a spare IAC put it on and it did the same thing. Also with the TPS. I don't have the car at the moment.

ok I check the voltage and it was very all over. 34 to 84 to 124

you only have a possibility of 0 to 12 volts. are you on the right scale??
