Once the car is started. a clicking noise is heard somewhere in the defroster area behind the radio and below the defroster vents. I changed out the electronic controls but still hear this clicking noise. I can see the actuator arm move as it should when you change from floor -vent-defrost. It seems to be working as such. The controls for heat and a/c work fine. It started making this noise about a month ago and will persist for quite a while before it stops. I also cannot retrieve any scan codes from the heater control display.

It sounds like one of the actuators has stripped plastic gears or the door is stuck. There are 3 of them, mode door, temp blend door and recirculation door.
