1997 Mercedes Benz S320 Replaced Rear Drivers Side Lite Multiple Times This

I have replaced my rear drivers side lite multiple times. This is the extra bright lite for fog driving. After replacement the bulbs lifespan is only for a few times. I have replaced this bulb with OEM and aftermarket bulbs. What do I do besides carrying a bag of replacement bulbs with me? Car is perfect other than this short span lightbulb.

You may have to replace the socket, maybe it has a poor connection and that causes it to blow
