how to replace freez plugs on a 97 kia sportage

The freeze plug is a pressure fit item. Use a screw driver or punch to remove the old one. As far as the new one, you have two choices. You can get the OEM type steel that just taps into place. However, is room is an issue, they make a rubber one. You just push it into the hole and tighten the nut on the outside of the plug. There is a washer on the inside that tightens thus causing the rubber to expand. This is my choice because they are easier to install when room is an issue.
