I just replaced my transmission with a newly rebuilt one in my Jeep grand cherokee. it started up fine and i let it warm up then put it into nuetral and it was fine but when i put into drive it would surge and almost die every few seconds. Any ideas of what i did wrong?

the linkage is the first thing I would check. You can actually reverse the shifter by not having the slide in the right position. Thus, lo becomes hi and the opposite.
