I have removed the battery to charge it overnight as car has not run for 6 months or so but I have used the locking and lights on occasions to work on her as a project.
The boot lid closed with no battery in.
All locks are electric not manual on my jag.
How do I charge the alternator to get power to the electrics?

They always have a manual way also to access the battery, probably a key hole.

Many thanks. I have no lock barrel in the key/manual side of the trunk (that would be too simple really. Haha.
I only have ignition key and no access to the trunk apart from the electric valet switch. Unless there is something I am missing?
The rear seatd are all in place so I have no access from inside the car either.
Any suggestions?

There will be a key hole back there somewhere. It may be hidden under an emblem or something too.

Spot on. Thank you.
Behind the number plate is a hole in the truk panel where you can access the locking mechanism by screwdriver or an item with a long shaft.
