Im not getting any heat or defrost. Blower seems to be working great. The radiator hose to the thermastat doesnt get hot. Maybe stuck open thermastat. If not this any other suggestions, C ars not overheating so I think the hoses are good and plenty full of antifreeze. Thanks

Try replacing the tstat and see if h tat works if not it may be an actuator in hvac unit. Seeif both hoses are hot to heater core when engine is warm first though.

Would that be a sign of a clogged heater core

Not really if both hoses are hot then it's probably the temp actuator in hvac unit. Or a broken cable if it has one.

One of the hoses is cooler than the other at optimal running temp

If you dont' have a water valve on your car as we have no listing for one then it soundslike your heater core may be plugged. You can try to back flush it to see if it cures the problem which would you taking off the hoses an dconnecting a water hose to the cooler side and turning the water on and flushing whatever is in it out the opposite direction.
