#1 1997 accord tachometer works on and off. Will work on start up then drop to 0 rpm or will not work on start then jump to running rpm.

#2 Engine light suddenly came on and will not go off. Is this related to tachometer issue speed sensor problem?

The tach gets a signal from ignition coil. If the problem isn't the wiring circuit, I'd have to look at instrument cluster.

Check for applicable trouble codes.

The info I looked at was for a honda accord Dx.
