RE: 1997 Honda Accord DX

Hello 2carpros, I have a 1997 Honda Accord DX and my engine light turned on, the speedometer stopped working and the the engine shuts off whenever I use the right and left turn signals to make a turn or change lanes on the roadway. On occassion the car shut off unexpectedly while driving. Can you please give me insight what's happening?

I would see what codes you have in the computer give me the exact code numbers.I would also make sure the battery cables are clean and tight but see what codes you have before that. Also have your battery and alternator tested. Let me know what you find.

The speedometer not working is most likely due to a faulty Vehice Speed Sensor and that can trigger the Check Engine Light.

As to the stalling, that should be another problem and you should heed the advisc of saturntech9
