I keep hearing a scraping noise coming from the front passenger side of my car. You can hear it while riding down the road, but when I press the breaks, the noise stops. It doesn't do it all the time. At first I thought it might be my heat shield, and then a friend suggested it could be my rotors. Now I'm scared to drive. I need another opinion. Help, please!

It sounds like you need brakes. Check them first.

I have the same problem with an Astra and I took it to the garage they stripped down brakes and all is fine so wonder if a wheel bearing or something worse, it is getting much more frequent and will have to go back to garage as worried to drive it now
