Hello Guys,

I drive a Honda Accord 1997 Model. I think there is a problem with the transmission system. It selects gear normally but the problem i am having is whenever i try to accelerate it does not respond fast but with time it would move fast. I have had the gear switch serviced a couple of time but the problem still persists. At times the Check Engine light comes on when i am on motion. One of my mechanic say the problem is with the brain box and not the gear box. I will like you to please advise based on your experiences with cars on what the likely cause of the problem might be.
I look forward to getting a prompt response from you.

Kind Regards,
David
