1997 Honda Accord car problem

i had a problem with my gear box so i had it changed by a mechanic but i am not comfortable with the transmission.it makes a knock sound when moved to drive. did the mechanic do the right thing ? if no what do i do?

take it back tell him r complaint and see if he will recheck his work might be a loose torque converter bolt
