I have a 1997 GMC yukon. has the 5.7 ltr vortec. A week ago i parked the truck and then the next day i went to start it and it just turned over. I put a fuel pressure gage on it and it had good pressure. I checked the spark at number one and it has good spark and timing. after letting it sit and trying a couple more times i got it to start leading me to believe it might have just been flooded. I didnt know you can flood a fuel injected truck??? Or half fuel injected. Not sure what its called. So the truck drove fine for the past week and has just happend again. This time i cant get it to start though. Any ideas???? The truck did not have the check engine light on. The only other thing i can think of is that both times this happend i tryed to start the truck with the remote start and it was low on fuel both times. Never had the problem before with the remote start.

your fuel pressure should be 55psi. this may be one of the trucks that needs the harness replaced as a few of these years had a bad harness that would causse a problem simillar to yours. have a procheck it out. the newer pumps come with the harness or shoould.
