I own a 1997 GMC Suburban that I have taken very good care of..it has 145,000 miles. It now needs a head gasket..is it worth it to put that kind of money into it?

If the vehicle is in good condition, I would say yes. The used car market is going through the roof at this time and to replace the vehicle would be like buying a new car.

Please keep in mind, I am assuming, as you mentioned, it has been well taken care of and is in good condition. Take a look on line for the vehicle's value. There are websites that you can get values from. One is KBB.com.

Let me know if you have other questions.
