How can you tell if you have a short somewhere ?

...aside from the obvious blown fuses.It seems that I have a slow drain on the battery, it takes about 6 or 7 days to kill it.

Connect an ammeter from battery negative to the battery post, (battery positive cable is OK also).Key off for 30 minutes and key removed. Amp draw must be less than 50 milliamps. If over, start removing fuses to isolate circuit causing draw.
