97 Sonoma fuel pump

97 Sonoma 4.3L will not start. New fuel pump clicks but does not run for 2 seconds when I turn the key on. New fuel pump.

Test for power arriving on the gray wire during the 2 second pulse period. Even if there is a problem with the fuel pump relay, it should still be powered during cranking through the oil pressure switch. Also check the 20amp "ECM BATT" fuse #9.

I can hear the fuel pump click, but not run. And it only does it in the morning when its below 40 degrees. If the temperature is on the rise, I can bump the key/starter usually 20 times and get it to start. New fuel pump, new filter.
