it just shut off and nothing works

i have a 1997 gmc jimmy while i was driving it it just shut off and nothing works..it wont turn back on the lights nor the four ways work what could cause this? it just shut off

If you have lost all electrical too, start at the battery. Make sure the battery is good, the battery terminals are in good condition, clean and tight.
