1997 Ford Xg Auto Transmission Into Reverse Gear Turns Wheels Jack Does Move On

The auto transmission goes into reverse gear and turns the wheels when jack up but it does not move when on the ground, it seems to have a lack of pressure to drive. I have all the forward gears and no problem. The fluid level i check when in Park and running and and is full. No smell or colour change to the auto fluid. What can I check or recommend, thanks

either the front pump has failed or the torque converter has failed. you need a trans shop to pin point the failure
