A few months back my seatbelt got caught in the door afterwards my door will not stay closed what could be my problem and how van i fix it

I MEAN, IF YOU CLOSE IT, DOES IT LOOK CLOSED FROM THE OUTSIDE, OR DOES IT SORTA PROTRUDE OUT?
