I have a 97 ford thunderbird. Evrything works when the key is in the run postion. What could be the problem? All fuses seem to be good

The electrical part of the ignition switch or the key part of the ignition switch? I'm asking because when you go from aux. To off it is hard to find the off position

Likely to be the switch part. Remove the switch part from the lock assy and use a screw driver to manually click from each position to test.

When you use a screwdriver to manually click each position everything worked but key won't turn far enough. Tried a new key switch and didn't fix it.

Remove the switch. Turn the key without the switch and note how far it travels and if there are any restrictions.

When you say key switch, do you mean the lock assy as well?
